Wealth Management Certified Professional® (WMCP®) Scholarship

 

In 2021, The American College of Financial Services, in collaboration with Ameritas and WIFS, launched the Wealth Management Certified Professional® (WMCP®) Scholarship for the Advancement of Women in Financial Services. This is an unparalleled educational experience focused on transforming one's approach to wealth management through applied knowledge from core specialized content areas including building efficient investment portfolios, evaluating financial instruments, understanding complex planning strategies, and more. The full scholarship program is valued at $2,900

The scholarship includes a mentoring program sponsored by WIFS, as well as a complimentary WIFS membership provided by the scholarship’s lead sponsor Ameritas. 

The College received nearly 50 applications for the newly created scholarship program in its inaugural year, with 24 scholarships awarded.

SCHOLARSHIP ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • Must enroll in the Wealth Management Certified Professional® (WMCP®) designation program  
  • Students must identify as female/women 
  • Work in the financial services industry 
  • Applicants cannot be eligible for educational reimbursement from their employer 
  • Employees of Ameritas are not eligible 
  • Applicants cannot be a current student of The American College of Financial Services or have already been awarded a scholarship to The College 
  • Only one full program scholarship per applicant will be awarded
